This 4 Bedroom, 2 living area & 4 bathroom/WC home design is Scandinavian inspired.
The brief from the owners was to have a healthy living interior for their young children to grow up in, while having the home work at it highest efficiency for their budget. (see more on how we achieved this below the pictures)
Once up and running this home will perform at an approximate 8.5 stars!
It does not compromise on luxury though, with beautiful hardwood parquetry floors, huge kitchen with amazing cabinetry & 40mm stone benchtops, ABI interior tapware selections & much more!
To maximize the health & efficiency of this home, we used ‘PassiveHaus’ principals to achieve the desired result.
This was achieved by implementing the following initiatives
- Mechanical Heat Recovery Ventilation system (MHRV) to have constant indoor air quality by removing the stale air in the home & automatically pumping in fresh healthy air. The MHRV system will also help with the efficiency of the home by keeping the air at more controlled constant room temperature.
- Double Glazed, ‘Low E’ Thermally broken aluminum window frames & UPVC window frames to minimize condensation & reduce loss of indoor room temperature
- Extra insulation than the minimum required
- Industry leading ‘Proclima” exterior wall wrap for increased performance
- ‘Blower door’ test, to find all those gaps that exterior air finds it way inside & eliminate them
- 9 KW solar panels
- Solar Heat Pump
